My favorite ar mag, there is a reason you see US spec ops/military using these now a days
You guys rock and it is must appreciated!
Magpul P-Mags have been proven by quite a few independent testers to stand up to whatever abuse you throw at it better than or as good as anything else out there, bar none. I personally never cared for them due to the fat baseplate and their functional issues associated with that when drawing from double mag pouches. For quite a while I ended up using a lot of GI mags (also for better out-of-the-box reliability with SCAR 16). I recently bought some of these Gen-3 mags to try as I really like the windowed feature. Look up for yourself any differences associated with polymer improvements or follower design, but I found that the mags feel grippier as advertised. They also have a nice lip to prevent over-jamming the mag in the magwell. Likewise, the windowed mags have a few numbers molded on the side for improved quick reading without trying to memorize anything. The numbers do seem to indicate to me about 2 rounds less than are actually in the mag (safety margin I suppose) but it certainly comes close enough if I ever needed to trust my life to a quick visual estimate of what I had left before needing to reload. Anyways, the baseplate now seems to make the mag just a tad longer but no longer sticks out near as much. It is not really noticeable without being stacked on top of each other. With that, I'd say these offer a better choice than even good GI mags (like Colt or Bushmaster). They're cheap, buy them now as they'll never be much cheaper and I cannot see the future bringing that many more improvements to a 30 round mag.
Great great mag. Arguably the best
