I've shot 2 boxes of this through my 1942 Carcano modello 41 and it shot really well. There wasn't any keyholing and my grouping were alright at 100 yards considering it was my first time shooting the rifle (about 12" with two bullseyes). I know my M41 has conventional rifling unlike the earlier rifles which had gain twist rifling (which was cut off to make m24 carbines), so maybe that had something to do with it?
I got 40 rounds of Prvi Partizan 6.5 Carcano Ammo a few days ago, and it was a great experience. My order was packed and ready for shipment the same day. Well packaged; order arrived in good condition. Great price on quality products - thanks for exceeding my expectation for the third time.
Used this ammo in an Italian Carcano Cavalry Carbine. I started from 50 yds and did not hit paper. Only hit one on paper from 25 yds. Even at 10 yds only three of six. The problem, bullet diameter is too small. The bullets tumble and keyhole causing unsafe conditions. Has nothing to do with SGAmmo. This is a PPU issue. The bullets mic'd at .262, you need .267-.268 for this rifle. After making my own handloads with the correct bullet the rifle shot fine. Again nothing to do with SGAmmo, they are my goto ammo source. Just a heads up.
