This ammo works great for me, and at that price point, is a fantastic choice of ammo to store away.
Ok, tested this with Both mod and full chokes now at 20 yards. 1500XTR Winchester shotgun. We have a winner, at least in MY Shotgun. Got three 7X8 inch (Well centered) patterns with the Mod. choke a bit bigger with the full,(about 10 inches with the flyers), which is normal with 00 buck as the choke deforms the pellets to much when they pass threw it. Easy to over choke buckshot! Soft recoil in the auto and no problems what so ever with function, threw casings about eight feet which is about normal for this gun. I would say at this time we have a decent close range hunting load for deer if you keep it close! Throwing three patterns at 20 yards of 7,8,&9 inches out of a Mod choke I'd have to say this is tight shooting buckshot out of the right combination of choke and gun. You just have to pattern any buckshot in your gun to see what it does. They all shoot different and your results may be much different than mine where. I was impressed with the consistency of the patterns, very few flyers for as crudely as they are put together. This is bare buckshot. Fiber wads with a gas check under it, no shot cup to protect the shot what so ever or filler between it. Shoots better than it should. Well worth the price, BUY EM !
Ha Ha Ha. Shot two of these this morning at 20 yards out of a cylinder bore Mossberg Model 88. Shot at a 20 inch square box and got all 18 pellets on the box. That's about all I can say for them. Got a 12 X 18 inch pattern From both shots fired. Goes along with the inch of spread per yard that most expect from old school buckshot. Recoil was harder than I expected as I've been reading about low recoil with these and I'd have to put them in the medium class as far as recoil. Stout enough that they should work in any automatic I'd think and fed and ejected smoothly in my pump. My opinion of them? Every bit as good as the Olin Military stuff or about any of the old school buckshot out of a cylinder bore shotgun. Worth the price, ( Yes ). As a hunting load, ( You better be close ), or try them in a choked shotgun which I have not tried yet with these. I may write another review when I do.
