Winchester .308/7.62x51mm Nato spec with NATO cross military headstamp. This is new ammo made recently. Great ammo for your mil-spec rifles that is made in the USA. The bullet is 147 grain FMJ, the case is brass and boxer primed. It should reload many times. Projectile is magnetic.

I love this stuff. Shoots just like M80 should. It's a "battle" ammo loading so don't expect crazy tight groups, but I got 1 inch out of my Remington 5R (5 shots, but normally it's about 1.5-2"), and my L1A1 seems to be fine (I don't have a scope so my groups with irons don't tell me how accurate it really is). Pings steel at 500+ yards all day long, even my Mega SF .308 likes it just fine. The MK 262 is what you should be using if you want accuracy.
Winchester 147gr 7.62x51 is not accurate ammo. I bought 200 rounds and would not purchase it again. I took it to the range today and compared it with ZQI, Federal, PMC and PPU all the same spec except the Federal at 150gr. The Winchester was between a 4” to 6” group at 100 yards in both a Remington 700 heavy barrel and an AR-10 w/Hbar. PMC performed the best with a little less than 1-1/2” average grouping and one of the three shoot groups were all in the same hole with the AR-10 – shocking!! Biggest surprise besides the terrible Winchester ammo was that the ZQI actually did very well with groups between 1” and 2”. The Federal and PPU both shoot pretty good with 1” to 3” groups. One note on the PPU – the bolt was really snug when chambering this ammo with the bolt action Remington 700. It makes me believe that the bass casing is a little bit larger than the rest. Overall, Great Day at the range! Disclaimer – I am not a Winchester hater. I actually love their steel shot ammo for duck hunting and use it almost exclusively. Hope this helps you. SG Ammo is great!
