i use this ammo in my daniel defense dd5v1 i get consistant sub moa with groups measuring as small as .5 of an inch and also use it to hit steel at 600yards very gpod ammo for the price i dont think i have had a group over 1 inch at 100 yards pictures to prove it i will continue to buy it when i find it in stock
My experience has been that the ZQI 7.62 x 51 from Turkey performs very well as a range ammo for the money. I shoot at 100 yds with groups of ~ 3-4" (and because of my eyes, that's good.) I've used it in a CAI CETME and a vintage SIG AMT. Before I tried the ZQI in the CETME (unfired at the time,) I tried several commercial brands of ammo including Remington and got many failure-to-feeds and jams. Thought I had purchased a defective CETME. However, a friend suggested I try the ZQI as it was made to NATO standards and might have more consistent performance. No jams, no F-T-Fs or other issues. Magazine after magazine of perfect mechanism performance. Also tried it in the SIG AMT of 1985 vintage. Same results -consistently good performance with no issues. Of interest to some may be that both of these firearms employ the delayed roller blowback mechanism and are therefore susceptible to extreme gas blowback contamination in the chamber, bolt, and magazine areas. Before trying the ZQI ammo, firing some commercial brands resulted in severe gas and blowback residue deposits - really dirty, and required extensive cleaning of the bolt, chamber, and bore. Fast forward - after firing many rounds of the ZQI from each, the result was amazing. No heavy deposits in the chamber and bolt areas at all and the same with the bore. Whatever powder and primer components they are using seem to provide a good combination of reliability, performance, and the minimal duration for cleaning. Check out ZQI's factory tour on YouTube.
Ive fired this ammo with no problems with my AR10, originally DPMS. Now all that's original is lower receiver. Everything else from barrel and gas block to stock to compensator, has been upgraded significantly. I've never had any problems with cycling, or accuracy within 300m.
I bought a case of this ammo last summer and was startled at how poorly I began shooting. My rifle is a PTR 91 and I had been breaking it in with Tul 308 steel case ammo with reasonable accuracy results. After having some bullets of the ZQI ammo hit paper targets at 200 yards fully sideways (I have pictures), I measured bullets with a micrometer and found bullet od's ranging from .306 to .308. A 7.62 and .308 bullet is supposed to mic at .309. I do shoot 1MOA with my PTR using PPU 168gr Match Grade 308. On the same day, I do well to get full silhouette MOA with the ZQI. I found the ZQI ammo useful only for the break-in cycling required by the PTR91/HK G-3.
I've shot a lot of this ZQI 7.62x51 out of my FNAR. It's not match-grade ammo, but for the price it shoots very well. I've had negligible accuracy issues out to 500 yards. It's probably around 1.5MOA ammo - give or take a bit. Most folks won't be shooting as accurate as this ammo is - let alone match ammo. For the price, it's a great deal. SGammoo also ships it super fast and quick, and they got the best pricing on it I've seen. Great for collecting the casing to re-load or sell back to a reloader too.
Beautiful ammo - however, does not run at all well in my DPMS G2 SASS. I would not recommend for a dpms AR style rifle.
I used to buy this ammo from a well known "Superstore" at $10 bucks + tax per box of 20. They stopped carrying it and I am very thankful SGAmmo sells it for the same price including s&h. Out of my Scar 17 shooting prone from a bipod my groups are a fraction over 1 MOA. From a bench with sandbags I believe it is capable of the 1 MOA printed on the box. My only regret is only buying 2 cases when it was in stock so I hope to see it return soon!
Ammo shoots clean and without malfunction from AR-10 and M1A. Reasonably accurate and has non magnetic projectile with reloadable brass. Really good for plinking and having fun shooting at the range.
Perfect transaction!!!! Thanks!
Shot this ammo in FN bolt rifle and Ruger Gunsite Scout both with cans. Great stuff, clean, accurate.
