100 Rounds Linked of 50 BMG 700 Grain M2AP Spec Black Tip Armor Piercing Ammo Packed in a M2A1 Canister Description Notice: Sold 'as-is' with no warranty, this is WW2 vintage military surplus ammo. We did test fire 8 rounds of this ammo in an AR50 and 7 out of 8 rounds fired as expected, and 1 round did not fire, you may have the occasional dud in the mix with this ammo. Please keep this in mind if you choose to purchase. This ammo was made in the USA, mostly in 1944 at either Saint Louis Arsenal or Twin Cities Arsenal. It was repacked into Korean made M2A1 cans in 1980 in South Korea, where the Koreans added a tracer as every 5th round, temporarily making it into 4/1 mix of M2 AP and M17 Tracer which is shown on the ammo can stenciling. Since tracer is not legally importable for commercial sales in the USA, the Korean government opened each can and removed the tracer and replaced it with an M2 AP round, making these 100 continuous rounds of M2 AP with no tracer. The ammo has been handled several times over its lifetime but all cans that we inspected contained nice clean ammo with some minor tarnish on some rounds in some cans, but most of it looks like new. Due to the nature of the handling, we disclaim that the cans may be more or less 3 rounds (97 to 103 rounds per can), however all cans we counted did contain 100 rounds, and each can is opened, inspected and weight-checked in our warehouse before shipping to try to make it as correct as possible for a surplus product of this nature. The ammo is linked for M2HB Machine Gun or can easily be delinked by hand for use in rifles. Brass Case, Corrosive Primer, mostly SL 4 or TW 4 Headstamp.
