I bought two boxes of this and my Taurus carbine loves it! so far just paper targets, but accurate and reliable. Makes very neat round holes in the paper (looked as though I was shooting wadcutters). Huge difference in sound between this and 115 gr ammo. I will definitely buy more! Plus, the service from SG Ammo is first rate. I shop around on the internet and buy here.
Comparable to the heavier HST or Ranger loads but what I notice in hind quarters of beef is a tearing through affect as opposed to a shoving aside wound profile. On a 4 layer denim over 1 gal milk jugs I got some rounded but lopsided expansion. I didn't repeat this test so I wouldn,t know if this was a fluke or not. Those that were fired into the beef went thru 5/8 plywood and retrieved from the meat. Those retrieved looked like the heavier Ranger B (RA9B) slugs when side by side. The bruins expanded >1.5 and seemed to have fissures in its overall mushroom and it makes me wonder about the bullet,s integrity if a 5/8 plywood is exchanged for windshields or mild steel. The rounds fired 100% w/ no hickups, bobbles, or any other untoward events. The 19is was using seemed to enjoy these rounds as the slide timing, my grip, muzzle blasts all contributed to the rock and roll feeling of going thru my 50 round practice test. There is nothing wrong with these Russian mades and by the same token they do not possess some 'roided quality, nor any secret banned in the west components or technology.
