Conditions of Use

Purchasing requirements: Ammunition buyer must be over the age of 21 years to purchase pistol ammo, 18 years for rifle ammo, and never have been convicted of a felony or adjudicated as mentally defective or been committed to a mental institution. All state, local and federal laws apply. By placing an order on this website you certify that you can legally purchase, receive and own ammunition. Please do not attempt purchase if you are prohibited from buying the item in your area.

The Gun Control Act (GCA), codified at 18 U.S.C. 922(g), makes it unlawful for certain categories of persons to ship, transport, receive, or possess ammunition, to include any person:

  • convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year;
  • who is a fugitive from justice;
  • who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act, codified at 21 U.S.C. § 802);
  • who has been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to any mental institution;
  • who is an illegal alien or, except as provided in 18 U.S.C. 922(y)(2), has been admitted to the U.S. under a nonimmigrant visa;
  • who has been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions;
  • who has renounced his or her United States citizenship;
  • who is subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of the intimate partner; or
  • who has been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence



No sales to New York, Maine, California, Massachusetts, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington DC, or City of Chicago. No exceptions.

Attention Connecticut customers: Please upload a picture of your required documentation in checkout. Acceptable documentation is an FFL dealer’s license by itself (not including type 03 C&R licenses), or a valid CT permit to carry a pistol or revolver, or a valid CT long gun eligibility certificate.

Attention Illinois customers: In the checkout process you must upload single image of your FOID card next to a second state issued ID when you place an order. Your shipping address must match the address on at least one of these two IDs.

Attention Rhode Island Customers: Beginning January 1, 2023, in order to purchase ammunition, you must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid pistol/revolver safety certificate issued by the DEM, or a Rhode Island hunter education course card issued by the DEM, or a permit to carry from either your local police department or the Attorney General. Please upload a picture of your ID next to any of the 3 acceptable permits listed above in checkout.

Attention New Jersey Customers: You must upload a single picture of your FID card next to your drivers license in checkout.

Privacy Notice:  SGAmmo will never release any customer information to a third party, unless it is required for a federal investigation, to comply with the law, to enforce our site policies, or to protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety. Besides reasons listed above for releasing third party information, customer information will only be used by SGAmmo to help personalize your shopping experience and improve customer service.

All customer information provided to the site during the purchasing process is protected. A variety of security measures has been implemented to ensure that customer information is not visible or attainable by a third party. SGAmmo’s recent implementations to our cart helps us guarantee customer purchases are quick, accurate and protected.

If the privacy policies of SGAmmo are ever changed, they will be posted on this page and customers will be notified. Also, you may always contact SGAmmo regarding security or privacy.

Product Warranty - SGAmmo LLC does not manufacture the goods we sell, and therefor offers no warranty expressed or implied. Any product warranty is through the manufacturer, if available. All goods are sold by SGAmmo 'as-is' with no warranty from SGAmmo. Military surplus products have no warranty whatsoever, buyer beware and assumes all risks from the usage of products purchased from SGAmmo LLC.


Shipping & Returns

Shipping - Our intent is to ship all orders within 1-2 business days, but orders placed on Fridays and weekends may not ship until Tuesday. From time to time other delays may happen but such delays are not common.

Shipping Insurance - If you want your package insured from damage or loss while in transit you must buy the optional insurance. Without purchasing this insurance, in the event the package is damaged or lost, there will be a max claim paid of $100 per package. Keep in mind that we combine shipments so up to 66 pounds of ammo will be packed into a single package. In the event of a lost package or package that shows delivered that you have not received you must report the loss immediately upon discovery of the loss. Shipments that show as delivered that have not been received by you, the customer, must be reported to SGAmmo by email in no more than 3 days in order for us to file a loss claim for restitution. In the event of lost package claim, we use a GPS trace from UPS to pinpoint where the package was delivered, and in the event that GPS pinpoints delivery at your home, proving delivery was made to that location, the package would not be covered by insurance. Insurance covers loss only when in transit, and does not cover loss after delivery if the package was delivered to the correct address.

Shipping Quotes: Free shipping on any order with a subtotal of $200 or more. Orders with a subtotal under $200 pay a flat rate of $12 for shipping.

Returns - All sales are final, we cannot take ammunition or other products in return that has been in the hands of the public. Exceptions are made for defective merchandise only. In the event of you receiving product that is defective from the manufacturer we will either have the return made to the manufacturer for exchange or to us for an exchange or refund, our choice. All products are sold 'AS IS' with no warranty expressed or implied.

Canceled Orders - Once an order has been shipped and has left our building the order cannot be canceled. If delivery of the order is refused by the customer or an order is canceled after it has shipped, the order is subject to up to a 20% restocking fee to cover the lost shipping costs and other lost costs incurred from the transaction. Orders that have not shipped can be canceled free of charge until the point where the order status is changed to 'completed', indicating it has been packed to ship. If it possible, and we can locate the package, we will cancel up to the time that the package has been picked up by UPS, however in some cases that might not be possible. Keep in mind that the tracking information often does not update for 4 to 6 hours after packages are picked up, so even if the tracking info does not show an update the order may have already shipped out. 

Redirected Shipments - The customer is responsible for all costs to redirect a package to a new address, such as but not limited to, changing the delivery address for the shipment to any address other than the delivery address that was on the order when it was submitted. In the event of an address change being required after the package has been shipped, regardless of the reason, the customer assumes the liability for any costs / fees due to the carrier, including intercept fees, additional transportation charges and any other related costs.

Short Claims - If you have received an order that you believe is short product that was ordered a claim must be filed within 3 days of receiving the package. A photo of the package and contents may be required and other information may be requested as the issue is investigated. Errors in packaging are very uncommon and we strive to provide 100% fulfillment on all orders. In the event of a short claim or lost package or package that shows delivered that you have not received, you must report the loss immediately upon discovery of the loss. Shipments that show as delivered that have not been received by you, the customer, must be reported to SGAmmo by email in no more than 3 days in order for us to file a loss claim for restitution.
