This was my first order with SG ammo and I'm amazed with the speed and ease of ordering through them. Ordered and delivered in 4 days to NJ. The ammo is very high quality and is rated in the top 5 of 9 mm HP rounds. I can't attest to its efficacy but it cycles very well and had no issues being run through an HK VP9.

This is an excellent self defense round. The 124gr +p version has tested somewhat better. The standard 147gr standard HST has tested better yet, and about the same as the 147gr +p. But you can't go wrong with any of them. For the sake of recoil, I use the 124gr standard for smaller pistols, the 124 +p for mid-size pistols, and the 147 in full size. I use the 124 standard for my Kahr and the 147 standard for my Glock 17, and I couldn't be happier. SGammo has the best prices for all the 50 rd boxes.

I have ran 250 rounds of this 124g HST through a Gen 3 G26 so far with no hickups what so ever. Ammo is consistant and my #1 choice for a defense round. I will not fully trust it untill I have gone though 1500-2000 rounds with no malfunctions thats ammo related. This was my second purchase from SGAmmo and still very satisfied. I've run these rounds through each of my three pistols--CZ 75B, CZ P-07 and Sig Sauer P226 Legion. No failures of any kind! I trust this ammo.

Reviewed many ballistic test for short barrel 9mm and the federal hst 124 grain standard pressure seemed to perform the best out of all I seen tested. Please research for yourself before deciding but keep in mind that overall performance of any ammunition differs with barrel lengths and as I understand it most test are done with 4 inch barrels.
