The SGAmmo Targeted Newsletter is a custom tailored email to you based on your order history at SGAmmo. This particular email is for clients who have purchased 50 BMG caliber ammo in the past. We were recently able to acquire factory new Lake City 50 BMG ammo in both M8 spec API Armor Piercing Incendiary and M20 spec APIT Armor Piercing Incendiary Tracer as well as some other options like M17 Tracer and M33 Ball. The story is that Lake City ammunition factory had been managed for the last 21 years by Alliant Techsystems Operations, however last year they were outbid by Olin Corp (Winchester) to run the factory for the next 7 year contract. We were able to take advantage of the situation to negotiate to buy their remaining inventory of 50 BMG ammo including the API and APIT options that were normally of limits for commercial sales. While there is no federal law restricting that ammo because it is a dedicated rifle caliber the company policy would not allow it to be sold into the civilian market. After 6 months of negotiating and legal review by ATO attorneys we were cleared to buy this ammo and clean out the inventory before Winchester took over. We consider this to be a 1-time opportunity and doubt we ever have a chance to buy this ammo again. We hope you enjoy the chance at this unique high quantity 50 cal ammo. This ammo came to us in 20 gallon barrels containing 1250 rounds loose, we packaged it here at SGAmmo diligently to an exact weight, however due to slight variation in the weight of the metal ammo cans some cans may be more or less 1 round. Some of the ammunition will be tarnished, but it is all factory new just as it was when the factory made it, vintages have been observed to be as old as 2016 to as new as 2020, there were some barrels where it appeared the factory may have linked and then delinked it, some rounds may have some small dents dings and scratches and cosmetic imperfections.
